It all started when MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) owners Troy Krzyston and Robert Reynolds decided they wanted a better way to generate money in their games other than standard banner advertising. Once these tools were created, they decided to go public and start their own CPA company based on catering to the MMORPG industry.

CPALead is gaining a reputation as a leader in the performance-based on-line affiliate advertising business, and in email data management. They have recently branched out into non-incentivised campaigns for all types of publishers as well. CPALead has since moved their online gaming market to a sub-division company, CPAGaming.com.

Both CPALead and CPAGaming operate on completely proprietary systems developed and maintained by in-house technical and creative professionals. The company is privately held and headquartered in Johnson Creek, WI.
